SNOWBIRDING IN YUMA FROM OCT 13 - MID APR 2014

RESIDENCE AND MAILING ADR 1674 AVENUE B, YUMA, AZ 98564

Geoffrey (Jeff) Morse originally licensed Novice KN7HOZ in 1958 (Brookings, OR), Conditional in 1959 (K7HOZ), Extra 1975 (K7GA) 8 years in USN Submarine Service, 12 years in USCG, retired with combined 20 years service. Retired again - for the last time - (10/01/07) after 17 years as a Merchant Marine Radio Officer on tankers, ro-ro's, containerships and LMSR's (USN Heavy Lift Cargo). Ham radio is a family affair for us. My OM (SK) was K7YFP and his call now belongs to my son Glen.

SteppIR 3EL and TX-455 tower still boxed up and on the ground - hopefully next spring/summer they will finally get
installed. Currently using a semi-permanent modified Hustler 6BTV as an elevated GP with resonant radials (two per
band, 160-10). Based on AD7AF's design and labors now sporting a 40M trap (rewound on a Hustler 20M trap form)
that replaces the original Hustler 75M resonator - allowing extending the tubing to facilitate a "full-size" resonant element on 80. On the top of that element is a 80M trap (modiied Hustler trap with added external capacitance
and more inductor windings), and from there an 18AWG coated loading wire cut to resonate on 160M
(inverted L). Addionally, a trap dipole for 75/40 set up as a low NVIS Vee for HF NW Emergency Nets on SSB and local
QSO's.  Also enjoy passing out mighty rare WAHKIAKUM COUNTY contacts and working others with vintage and
home brew gear on my favorite mode - CW.

home brew 6L6 (crystal control/plug in tank

Still have the NC-300 and HQ-129x.
